Market Update and Market Review/Analysis of Vanilla

Henry Todd, Jr.
Virginia Dare
New York, NY

Two topics will be addressed in the presentation.  First, a commercial overview will examine current market dynamics with a special emphasis on world demand.  Secondly, models for future market governance in Madagascar will be examined.  No clear or enduring governance model for Madagascar’s vanilla market has emerged since liberalization in the 1990's. This presentation will examine possibilities for new ones based on current trends both within Madagascar and beyond its borders.
