An early AM departure for Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Tarangire is one of Tanzania's largest national parks and is famous for its high density of elephants and majestic baobab trees. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, the primary source of fresh water in this ecosystem. You may see herds of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo; and other resident such as waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant's gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include African lion, leopard, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog. The park is home to more than 550 bird species, and a haven for bird enthusiasts. Picnic lunch en route. Mid-afternoon return to Moshi. End of tour.
